Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Osmoniy Labs LLC (“Osmoniy Labs”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit osmoniy.com or use our apps and services, including GoTeach and any app we publish on the web, the Apple App Store or Google Play (together, the “Services”).

Osmoniy Labs LLC is the controller of the personal information described here. If an app shows its own privacy notice, that notice adds to this policy for that app.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details, such as your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form) and profile settings.
  • Content you create or upload, such as lesson plans, slides, worksheets, flashcards, notes, files and messages.
  • Information about your students or clients that you choose to enter, such as names, contact details, lesson history, progress notes and schedules.
  • Billing details, such as invoices you create and your subscription status. Card payments are handled by our payment providers or by Apple and Google; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Messages to us, such as support requests and the details you include in them.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data, such as app version, device type, operating system, language, pages or screens viewed, and crash and error reports.
  • Log data, such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of requests, which our hosting providers record to run and secure the Services.
  • Cookies and similar technologies inside our apps where needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

This website

osmoniy.com does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, maintain and improve the Services;
  • create and secure your account and authenticate you;
  • generate content you ask for, such as lesson plans and worksheets;
  • process subscriptions and payments, and keep business records;
  • respond to support requests and send service messages, such as receipts or security notices;
  • detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

AI features

Some features use third-party AI model providers to generate content. When you use these features, the text and materials you submit are sent to the provider, which processes them on our behalf to return a result. Please do not include sensitive personal information about students or others in AI prompts. AI output can be inaccurate, so please review it before use.

How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the Services:

  • Service providers that process data on our behalf, such as hosting, databases, email delivery, payment processing, AI model providers and error monitoring. They may use the data only to provide their services to us.
  • App stores, such as Apple and Google, when you download an app or buy a subscription through them. Their own privacy policies apply.
  • Legal and safety, when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Osmoniy Labs.
  • Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction, for example when you share materials with a student.

Students and children

Our Services are intended for adults, such as tutors and teachers, and are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Where a teacher enters information about a student, the teacher is responsible for having the right to share it and for obtaining any consent required, including from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update most account details in the app. To make any other request, email hello@osmoniy.com from the address linked to your account. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

To delete your account and its data, see Support → Delete your account.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers of personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
